Liam Neeson Helps ‘Taken’ Costar Maggie Grace Prank Ex-Boyfriend
Maggie Grace recently revealed that Liam Neeson, who plays her father in the Taken film franchise, once helped her prank call a former boyfriend.
Liam Neeson Prank Calls Maggie Grace’s Ex
Grace, 31, was making the late night rounds to promote Taken 3 when she admitted on Conan O’Brien that Neeson is just as protective in real life as he is as her onscreen dad. When she told him that her last boyfriend left her heartbroken, the actor told her that something must be done.
“This just can’t be. We have to set this kid straight,” Neeson told Grace. “What should we do?”
Ultimately, Neeson and Grace decided that the former flame deserved a chilling and threatening phone call from his Taken character Bryan Mills.
“This is Bryan Mills. We’ve never met, and if you play cards right, we never will,” he warned in the recording Grace shared on the show. “Now listen [expletive], you’re lower than the pond scum so I’m just going to say this once. You’ve made two mistakes: Your first mistake was dating out of your league. Your second mistake, well, let’s just say any more mistakes and I’ll break your other arm – slowly.”
“I don’t need to say it, but I have a particular set of skills,” the actor went on, referencing a famous Taken quote. “And I don’t want to waste them on you. Now get your s–t together.”
Judging by his carefully crafted revenge prank call, it comes as little surprise that Grace told Conan O’Brien, “He’s like the best fake movie dad any girl could ask for.”
Taken 3 is currently in wide release.
