Paramount has released the new Super Bowl trailer for World War Z, starring Brad Pitt, although “new” might be a bit of a stretch. The 30-second spot, which will appear during Sunday’s big game, is basically a pared-down version of the trailer released in November, with some very brief new clips.

This adaptation of the 2006 zombie apocalypse novel by Max Brooks has been plagued by production setbacks. The movie’s premiere, originally scheduled for last December, was pushed back for a summer release. Word was that the script needed serious work, and Pitt and the film’s director, Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace), were no longer on speaking terms by the end of shooting.

World War Z, which also stars Mirelle Enos and David Morse, will open June 20, 2013. So start placing your bets on whether this will be a blockbuster or a bomb. And just for fun, see if you can discern what the differences are between this Super Bowl trailer and the movie’s original below. It’s like playing “Where’s Waldo,” but with CGI zombies instead.
