Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend, Austin Butler, were spotted on Tuesday at a sushi bar in Studio City, Calif. A quick food break was surely welcome to the actors who have both been in the middle of a busy year.

Butler currently stars on The CW teen drama The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to HBO’s Sex and the City, in which he plays Carrie Bradshaw’s (AnnaSophia Robb) flame, Sebastian Kydd. Hudgens, meanwhile, has been focused on her new movie, Spring Breakers, which had a limited release last week and hits theaters nationwide this Friday.

Directed by Harmony Korine, Spring Breakers also stars Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine and James Franco. In the film, Hudgens plays Candy, a character she found herself particularly drawn to early in the project.

“I read the script, and that was the role that I wanted,” Hudgens told Vulture. “I loved how fierce and fearless she was. I just knew that I wanted to play Candy.

Next fall Hudgens will appear in Machete Kills, directed by Robert Rodriguez.—Hal Sundt
