Jenna Jameson, the former porn star, was charged with battery this past weekend for allegedly having assaulted someone, according to police.

The alleged assault took place in Orange County on Saturday evening. The individual who is claiming to be the victim of an attack by Jameson made a citizen’s arrest before calling officers, authorities revealed. Although Jameson is said to know the person, Newport Beach Police Lt. Evan Sailor is not certain what their relationship is.

Jameson was brought to the Newport Beach Police Jail by police and charged with misdemeanor battery. She was released later without having to post bail.

On Sunday, Jameson tweeted that she had been robbed by a friend who “broke into her home and took everything,” according to CNN. She added that this same friend “accused me of gusting her.” The posts have since been removed from her Twitter page.

Jameson retired from porn in 2008. While she was still in the business, she dominated the industry – from starring in adult films, magazine spreads and strip clubs, to launching a film production and online licensing company as the CEO of ClubJenna Inc.

Last May, Jameson also found herself in trouble with law. She was charged with driving under the influence after crashing her Range Rover into a pole in Orange County.

Jameson will be assigned a court date for the alleged battery incident if prosecutors are able to collect sufficient evidence to officially charge her, reported the Los Angeles Times.
