The Voice eliminated two contestants from the singing competition's Top 10, inching closer to a winner. Between saved vocalists, coaches and contestants alike took to the stage to perform.

The Voice Recap

Christina Aguilera opened the show with the remaining members of her team, Matthew Schuler and Jacquie Lee, and performed a medley of Michael Jackson songs including “Scream” and “Bad.” Aguilera donned silver hot pants with a long black blazer and wild curls for the performance. The young powerhouses kept up with their vocal prodigy of a coach.

Following the performance, host Carson Daly surprised the audience and coaches by announcing to the world that coach Adam Levine was named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, with the confirmed magazine cover. “I feel sexy,” Levine teased. “You’re the sexiest man in my book,” he assured Blake Shelton before giving him a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

The show then aired its confessional, with guests Cher, Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder, Miguel and Sara Bareilles, for a round of embarrassing moments. Tessanne Chin’s embarrassing moment was not noticing she was eating someone else’s food at a restaurant. Levine’s was having his fly open on a Jumbo-Tron – “It’s not a good look” – while Aguilera simply said “Google it.” Tedder, Miguel, Cher and Sheeran shared falling over on stage as an embarrassing moment they’ve all experienced. Following the confessional Daly announced that James Wolpert and Schuler were the first two saved by America.

Will Champlin, Wolpert and Kat Robichaud then took the stage and rocked out to an infectiously fun “Sugar, We’re Going Down” by Fall Out Boy.

Daly then read off that Ray Boudreaux and Champlin, too, would be moving on to the Top 8.

Shelton performed a cool “Sharp-Dressed Man” by ZZ Top with his remaining artists, Boudreaux, Cole Vosbury and Austin Jenckes.

After the performance, Daly announced that Chin and Lee, too, were moving to next week’s performances, meaning neither Levine nor Aguilera lost a contestant this week.

After spouting off random facts about The Voice, Caroline Pennell and Chin performed an elaborate rendition of “Royals” by Lorde.

Jenckes And Robichaud Eliminated

Vosbury was the last contestant saved by America’s votes, meaning Pennell, Jenckes and Robichaud needed Twitter votes to determine which one would move on. This was Robichaud’s second week in a row at risk. The save went to Pennell of Team Cee Lo Green, sending Jenckes and Robichaud out of the competition.
