Flavor Flav (real name William Drayton) was arrested last week on Long Island when it was discovered that he was driving with a license that had a shocking total of 16 suspensions.

Flavor Flav Arrested

Flavor Flav was pulled over on Thursday in a black Hyundai for traveling 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to New York State Police. When the officers on the scene checked out his record, they realized that the Public Enemy rapper had failed to pay a number of tickets, resulting in the 16 suspensions, reported TMZ. Flav also allegedly had a “small amount” of marijuana with him in the vehicle.

The outstanding suspensions led police to arrest Flavor Flav for felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana – in addition to traffic violations.

Flavor Flav Released To Attend Mom's Funeral

Flavor Flav was released after his booking so that he could attend his mother Anna Drayton’s funeral. At a later date, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member will have to appear before the Nassau County First District Court to face his charges.

Back in 2002, Flavor Flav served nine weeks in Rikers Island jail for unpaid parking tickets and driving on a suspended license.
