Madonna Rocks A Grill & Black Tux At 2014 Grammys
Madonna took to the red carpet at the 2014 Grammys on Sunday night in a predictably unique ensemble – complete with a grill in her mouth.
Madonna Wears Grill At Grammys
Madonna, 55, brought along her youngest son, David Banda, as her date for the annual music event. David wore a black tux, tie and fedora. At David’s request, Madonna dressed to match, wearing a double-breasted tuxedo jacket, flared black pants, tie and wide-brimmed hat.
Taking her look to another level, Madonna accessorized with a single sparkly glove, a cane and a gold grill. On the red carpet, Madonna was asked about the metal mouth accessory by Ryan Seacrest.
"Yeah, I'm grillin'. It pisses everybody off when I wear my grill, so that's why I wear it,” she explained. "[I wear it] when it matches my outfit. When I don't have to eat. Actually, I've learned to eat with my grill in."
Madonna Getting Grill For Son David
David was disappointed to note that he didn’t have a grill in to match his mother’s – but noted that he should be getting his own soon. "She said she'd get me grills for my birthday,” he told the E! News correspondent.
Cutting her precocious son off, Madonna said, "I know, but we haven't had time. We have to go to the dentist to get a mold.”
Later on in the night, Madonna traded in her black tux for a white one and graced the Grammy stage to perform “Open Your Heart” after Queen Latifa married 34 couples – gay and straight – during a performance of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Same Love” with Mary Lambert.
