Idina Menzel Says She's 'Only Benefited' From John Travolta's Oscar Flub
Idina Menzel was introduced to the Oscar stage last month to sing “Let It Go” from Frozen by John Travolta, who mistakenly called her “Adele Dazeem.” Although it threw the Broadway star, she admits it actually became a positive for her.

“That threw me for a minute, but then I just got back on track and reminded myself of where I was," Menzel told Billboard of Travolta’s butchering of her name during the Academy Awards.
"[John Travolta] was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we're buddies, and it's all cool," continued Menzel, who revealed that Travolta sent her flowers.

Is Menzel harboring hard feelings for the Grease star? Not at all. "Please. I mean, I've only benefited from it," she said.
The Rent and Wicked star may be a household name today, but before her mainstream breakout, the singer and actress had trouble getting cast in Disney animated musical Tangle. However, fortunately for her, the casting director held onto her audition performance and sought her out for Frozen.
While Menzel’s star-making hit “Let It Go” is undoubtedly family friendly, as is animated hit Frozen, her latest stint on Broadway is considerably less so. In If/Then, Menzel plays a single 40-year-old, who endeavors to sleep with three men in one day. The song she sings during the busy day is titled, “What the F–k”.
Menzel’s Billboard cover hits newsstands March 29.
