The 2014 MTV Movie Awards delivered a thoroughly entertaining show hosted by Conan O’Brien, with The Hunger Games: Catching Fire sweeping the awards for Best Movie and Best Male and Female Performance.

The show began with a promising montage of O’Brien hunting down 50 celebrity cameos for his opening, starting with Andy Samberg, featuring Oscar winners Lupita Nyong’o and Martin Scorsese, and ending with O'Brien himself.

Besides the annual distribution of gold popcorn awards, the show also featured musical performances from Eminem and Rihanna, Ellie Goulding and Zedd and 21 Pilot. Stars from upcoming films were also on hand to present special sneak peeks of their films. Ellen Page introduced an exclusive sneak peek of X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx introduced a clip of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Special awards were given to Channing Tatum, who received the Trailblazer Award from his Jupiter Ascending co-star Mila Kunis, and Mark Wahlberg, who recieved the Generation Award from the cast of Entourage. MTV also took the time to honor Paul Walker, who died in a tragic accident on Nov. 30, 2013.
