'Games Of Thrones' Actress Maisie Williams Slams British Airways On Twitter
Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, put British Airways on blast in a recent Twitter rant.
Maisie Williams Blasts British Airways
Williams, 17, took to Twitter earlier this week to vent about British Airways forbidding her from being in the business lounge because she is under 18. The teen actress doesn’t want special treatment, but thinks that the policy that disallows 16 and 17-year-old solo fliers from entering the area is illogical.
British Airways Responds
British Airways responded to the Game of Thrones actress, posting, “We’re sorry if you were disappointed, lounge guests must be 18 or older. We look forward to welcoming you soon." Williams, however, was not impressed with their policy and wanted an explanation for it.
British Airways then further explained, “It's due to the complimentary alcohol available, we can only admit passengers over 18yrs.”
Though British Airways didn’t seem willing to change their policy, Williams has found a more accommodating airline in Virgin Atlantic, which permits 16 and 17-year-olds to hang out in the lounge, provided they don’t drink the alcohol available.
“@VirginAtlantic: @PVBuk we can accept customers from 16-18, but obviously the 16 and 17 year olds can't drink” The logical answer..
