Naya Rivera stunned fans when she announced that she had married little known actor Ryan Dorsey in an intimate ceremony in Mexico July 19.

Naya Rivera Marries Ryan Dorsey

Rivera, 27, and Dorsey, 30, announced the news on Wednesday, merely three months after Rivera broke off her engagement to rapper Big Sean. Rivera has since changed her official name on Twitter to Naya Rivera Dorsey, but has refrained from spilling any more details on her mysterious relationship with her new husband.

Who Is Ryan Dorsey?

Dorsey, relatively new to the screen, has appeared in commercials for X-Box, Stanely Steamer and Corona, and has starred in multiple short films. Dorsey is perhaps best known for his bit parts in Southland, Parks and Recreation and Mob City. He just wrapped filming his feature film debut, Blood Father, which also stars Mel Gibson, William H. Macy and Diego Luna.

Raised in Charleston, West Virginia, Dorsey originally had dreams of becoming a professional baseball player and discovered a love for theater in high school. Dorsey went on to study acting at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. After graduating, Dorsey moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career.

Dorsey is active on social media, and frequently updates on Instagram and Twitter, giving fans behind-the-scenes looks at his projects and showing off his love of dogs.

In 2011, Dorsey was named the top bachelor of West Virginia by Cosmopolitan and told the mag that he loved a girl in “leggings or tights.” When asked to say why he would be a great boyfriend in five words, Dorsey responded, “I don’t snore in bed.”
