Drake Denies Suggesting Rihanna Is The Devil In Concert
Drake denied rumors that he likened ex-girlfriend Rihanna to the devil during a recent performance.
Did Drake Call Rihanna The Devil?
At the OVO Fest in Toronto on Aug. 4, during Drake’s performance of “Days in the East” an image of Rihanna’s face flashed onscreen interspersed with three images of the number 6. After the striking graphics became public knowledge, many hypothesized that the imaging was a not so subtle message that Rihanna was the devil. “666” is commonly referred to as the Number of the Beast and is highly associated with the devil.
Adding to the story, Drake and Rihanna famously dated after the sexy songstress ended her relationship with Chris Brown, and the song “Days in the East” is widely believed to be about their relationship.
After the show, Drake posted a photo of the ‘6’ performance to his Instagram account, with the caption “All I know.”
Rihanna has not responded to the alleged diss, but a source told Hollywood Life that the singer was extremely disappointed by her ex.
“Rihanna would have way more respect for him if he just came out and bashed her hard. That would earn him cool points. Now, she’s just laughing at him and shaking her head. It’s cool though. She loves how she leaves her mark on the weak men,” said the source.
Drake Denies Reports He Thinks Rihanna Is The Devil
Meanwhile, after hearing reports that he had branded Rihanna the devil in concert, Drake took to Twitter to stop the speculation. Drake explained that the ‘6’ was meant to be a reference to his new album title Views From the 6, adding, “Rih is a great girl who I know is about to kill this tour with Eminem. It’s all love!”
Six is the last number in the Toronto’s 416 area code, and Drake has a habit of referencing the number as a nod to Toronto.
