- Q: In Away We Go, are any of the families that are shown in the movie like the way you and Jake [Gyllenhaal] grew up?
- A: My parents were pretty bohemian, but not quite in that way. When I was pregnant, my fantasy of being a mother was everything was going to be organic, I would have cloth diapers and hand wash them myself... all of these kind of fantasies were all in the kind of [my character] LN's direction. She is as far in that direction as you can be be. I definitely have a stroller. I live in New York. [My character]'s nursing her 4-year-old and I'm not that far over. I thought it was funny because I do know a bit about parenting in that way, and living in Park Slope, [Brooklyn], I know people who are even more over in that way than I am.

- Q: There’s a lot of sex and violence on the show. I was wondering what your feelings are regarding this. Have there been any scenes that made you pause at all?
- A: No, Micah, I did not hesitate at all. I’m Scandinavian, damn it. We love to be naked! It was kind of liberating. I’ve worked on movies before when people come with contracts–20 pages–if you show this nipple from this angle, but not that one. I did not grow up in that kind of movie climate. It’s quite different in Sweden. I don’t mind it all. Nudity is great!

I have an 8 yr old son interested in acting---what do you see as the pros and cons of introducing the craft at such a young age? What motivated you to leave for awhile? And to come back? What would be your advice in guiding him?

- Q: You have a lot of nude scenes on the show. How do you feel about that? And do you have ever get uncomfortable doing them?
- A: I seem to be a little uncomfortable even answering this question. It’s always confronting when you walk into your wardrobe trailer and you just see a modesty patch hanging from the coat hanger instead of a whole array of clothes. With Jason, it’s always story points. I never feel like I was exposing myself to the masses. It was always justified.

- Q: Hi, Kerry, this is Noorah from Chicago. I heard your mom is a breast cancer survivor. What happened and how did it affect you personally?
- A: My mom is a breast cancer survivor and she is with us today because of early detection because the technology in breast cancer has evolved to the point where we can save woman’s lives fairly easily if we find out early enough. My mom was one of those lucky women who went in for a mammogram and knew that something was going on, and she was able to start treatment from the very beginning. We do not have that advantage for ovarian cancer, which is why L’Oreal Paris is working so hard for awareness and research.

I was diagnosed through early detection, so she's absolutely right about that being the main way to attack the disease.
