Kerry Washington stunned at the GLAAD Media Awards over the weekend in a plunging two-tone dress.

The cleavage-baring Hellessy dress had Washington showing her sexy side. The look wowed against the royal blue carpet as Washington went for simple make up and a small metallic clutch. The open back and floor length flooring skirt were a few of the features of the flattering gown. At the event, the Scandal star was honored with the Vanguard award, which is given to media professionals who have made a significant difference in promoting equality. The award was presented by Ellen DeGeneres at this year’s ceremony.

In her seven-minute long acceptance speech Washington, highlighted the importance of humanity as a vital part of equality and making society and the media more inclusive of all different types of people. The actress was praised for her bold statements and passion for the gay community.

Scandal includes multiple openly gay characters, including Cyrus Beene, played by Dan Bucatinksy, the White House Chief of Staff. Washington is a strong advocate of LGBT rights having participated in the GLAAD’s annual Spirit Day, a campaign to end anti-LGBT bullying and is a strong proponent of marriage equality. The hit show is currently in it’s fourth season.
