Say goodbye to the hellish tangled mess of wire headphones. Bose is back with a product everyone can appreciate. The QuietComfort 35 is an active noise-canceling headphone with Bluetooth operation and without the fuss of wires. This QC35 features a wider headband and tight earcups for a better and more sturdy fit. Compared to others in its class the QC35 is pricey but may be worth buying.

CNET reports, “With microphones inside and outside the earcups, Bose says the QC35 senses, measures and sends unwanted sounds to two proprietary digital electronic chips that respond with a precise, equal and opposite signal in less than a fraction of a millisecond.” In other words, Bose’s active noise cancelling technology provides clear sound and an enjoyable listening experience.

There are indicators on the right earcup that control volume, playback and phone calls and the Q35 works with the company’s free Connect app for your smart devices. You can pair the headphone with your smartphone or laptop.

One downside is the weight of the thing. The QC35 also weighs about 10.9 ounces. That’s about four ounces heavier than the QC25.

Battery life is pretty solid at 20 hours and the headphones come with an included cord that allows listeners to use the headphones in wired mode if the battery dies. Corded use also makes this set ideal for flying on airlines that prohibit the use of Bluetooth headphones during portions of the flight. Some have taken issue with this version’s batteries. Older models allowed for user-replaceable batteries, but the QC35 is a departure from that.
