Antonio Banderas, one of the biggest movie stars Spain has ever produced, reunites with the renowned director Pedro Almodovar for the first time since 1990’s Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! In the new film The Skin I live In.
Elena Anaya, the stunning Spanish actress, co-stars opposite Antonio Banderas in Pedro Almodovar’s The Skin I Live In. For Anaya, working with Almodovar was an incredible experience. Anaya had previously worked with Almodovar—in Almodovoar’s Oscar winning 2002 film Talk to Her—though Anaya’s role in the film was minor.
Antonio Banderas, 51, is getting an onslaught of acclaim for his role as the psychologically disturbed plastic surgeon Robert Ledgard in The Skin I Live In, but he credits director and visionary Pedro Almodovar for much of his stunning performance in the controversial film.
Pop superstar Madonna, 53, and her boyfriend, Brahim Zaibat, 24, are still going strong. They were spotted out at public events last week and over the weekend, schmoozing and partying. On Saturday Madonna and Zaibat went dancing at New York's PH-D at the Dream Downtown Hotel, reports Page Six.
"It's important not to forget that films are made to entertain. That's the key," Pedro Almodovar said in 1999 interview, around the time of the release of his acclaimed masterpiece All About My Mother, which won him the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
