Back in 1998 Shem Bitterman had a play that made it onto an off-Broadway stage and was successful enough that he was able to raise a few nickels to turn it into a feature. The story involves a down on his luck twenty-something named Bubba (Patrick Flueger) who, at least according to multiple sources within the movie, is a “good man.
