Anthony Mackie, best known for his performance in 2009’s Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker, stars in the up-coming thriller Man on a Ledge. In the film, which has an all-star cast including actors Sam Worthington, Jamie Bell, Kyra Sedgwick, Edward Burns, Elizabeth Banks and Ed Harris, Mackie plays a police psychologist who tries to reason with Nick (Worthington), a suicidal man who climbs to 21st floor of the Roosevelt hotel in New York City and is ready to leap down.
In Real Steel, Anthony Mackie, 34, had to keep up with iron-man Aussie Hugh Jackman. “He definitely put me in a position to understand what hard work meant,” Mackie told Uinterview exclusively.
Elizabeth Banks, 37, who plays a police negotiator in the new Man on a Ledge, also starring San Worthington, Jamie Bell, Ed Harris, and Anthony Mackie, hit the red carpet in style at the movie's New York City premiere, wearing a black mini dress from Versace's 2012 spring line, black tights, and a hip leather jacket.
Anthony Mackie, 32, is used to risking life and limb for his job, and he isn't afraid to let everyone know it. Though he isn't the titular character in his new project, Man on a Ledge, director Asger Leth still required The Hurt Locker actor to experience the full terror of the height.
What do Marilyn Manson, 43, and Jamie Bell, 25, have in common? Nope, it's not a trick question — they've both been engaged to actress Evan Rachel Wood, 24. The British Billy Elliot and The Adventures of Tintin actor recently popped the question to his former music video costar (the two met filming Green Day's 2005 video, "Wake Me Up When September Ends"), and Wood was seen wearing an engagement ring in Hollywood with Bell on Saturday night, reports Us Weekly.
