On Mother’s Day, celebrities took to Twitter to wish their mothers and wives, and mothers everywhere a “Happy Mother’s Day.” Kerry Washington, including all mothers in her Mother’s Day tweet, wrote, “HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all you moms, God-moms, step-moms, pet moms, Other Mothers, etc! (that means YOU TOO movie mom x 2 –> @s_epatha XOXO)” Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet was decidedly less inclusive, tweeting “Happy mothers day to my mom Jamey ONLY.

'This Is 40' – Not 'Knocked Up' But A Step Closer

This Is 40 is not Knocked Up, the 2007 Judd Apatow-directed hit movie it has been loosely connected to as a “sort-of-sequel.” Where Knocked Up struck a fine balance between raunchy humor and serious subject matter (an unexpected pregnancy) by starting out hilarious and slowly drifting into a more dramatic film, This Is 40 jumps back and forth between comedy and drama as if the two genres were playing a heated game of ping pong.

Instead, the installment had the feeling of a short film, as Hannah (Lena Dunham, 26) spent some time — and became intimate — with Joshua (Patrick Wilson, 39), a 40-something doctor separated from his wife, whose garbage cans Hannah had been using as the coffee shop’s stand-in dumpster.
