Courteney Cox, 48, hit the beach in Tarzana, Calif., this weekend with Cougar Town costar Josh Hopkins, 42, where the duo, who play the unlikely couple, Jules and Grayson, on the (newly) TBS show, took to filming the upcoming episodes of Cougar Town, which will move from ABC to TBS for the 2013 season.
Fans following Cougar Town to TBS will be very interested to see how things pan out after the season finale, which gave off whiffs of a touched-up series finale, according to EW.com. First, there was the plot to end all plots, with Jules (Courteney Cox) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) getting married.
Okay, ABC, we get it. As you see it, the charm in your Tuesday night flagship sitcom, Cougar Town, lies in its irreverence. Granted: the characters are narcissistic, shallow, self-destructive parodies of “real housewives”; the sexual themes are unrelenting and occasionally disturbing; and the storylines go from flippant to sincere in the disorienting frenzy of the allotted half hour.
Once upon a time ABC based one of their new comedies on a one-joke series of commercials that featured cavemen living in the modern world. So the fact that they are built a show around a piece of worthless slang (a cougar is an older woman who dates younger men) is somewhat encouraging, we guess.
