On American Idol Thursday night, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery, and Casey Abrams made it into the bottom three. Abrams was voted off, and left saying, “it was my time to go.” For his last performance on the show he went into a soulful rendition of “I Put A Spell On You,” even looking directly at fellow contestant, Haley Reinhart, when singing the line, “because you’re mine,” adding fuel to the rumors that they are in fact dating.
The tension isn't the only thing that's heating up on American Idol: Casey Abrams, one of the frontrunners among this season's remaining seven contestants, directly serenaded judge Jennifer Lopez with his rendition of Maroon 5's "Harder to Breathe" on Wednesday night before going in for a kiss on the cheek at the song's finale.
American Idol certainly knows how to toy with people's emotions. Despite getting praised by the judges for his unique take on “Heard It Through the Grapevine” on Wednesday night, Idol hopeful Casey Abrams found himself on the bottom during Thursday’s results show.
