Mariah Carey, 42, is certainly a name that has come up before in talks, and now the new mother of twins Monroe and Moroccan with singer and America's Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, 31, will finally join the Simon Cowell-created American Idol next season, replacing Jennifer Lopez.

Mick Jagger, 68, hosted Saturday Night Live last weekend with musical guests Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters, and Jagger portrayed fellow rock musician Steven Tyler of Aerosmith in a skit called "So You Think You Can Dance at an Outdoor Music Festival," clearly making fun of American Idol and all its musical-reality-show-competition progeny.

Steven Tyler was knocked from the stage by Aerosmith bandmate Joe Perry Tuesday night after they got into a shoving match onstage while performing "Love in an Elevator" in Toronto. First, Tyler bumped Perry on the hip, then Perry knocked Tyler into the crowd.
