Who Is 'Thor' Star Chris Hemsworth?

After watching the Thor trailer, we were left with some burning questions: who the hell is this Chris Hemsworth fellow? Where did he come from? Isn’t he that dude who was dating Miley Cyrus? Maybe it’s a bad sign when your name is only recognizable because it sounds a lot like Hannah Montana’s ex-boyfriend’s, but from the looks of it, this whole anonymity problem will not plague him for long.

Who is he?

Chris is a 27 year-old Australian best known for his role in Aussie soap Home and Away.

He’s married to Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, who had a supporting role in Snakes on a Plane.

You may recognize him as George Kirk in the beginning of 2009’s Star Trek.

Did he date Miley Cyrus?

No, that was his younger brother, Liam Hemsworth (who was just cast in The Hunger Games)
