VIDEO: Rick Perry Excuses Debate Freeze On Letterman
Texas governor and beleaguered presidential hopeful Rick Perry sought to undo some of the harm resulting from his Wednesday debate performance, during which he alluded to three government agencies he would eliminate as president but failed to name the third. Thursday he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to offer his top ten excuses for blanking out.
"Actually there were three reasons I messed up last night," Perry began, drawing laughs from the crowd with his animated facial expressions. "One, the nerves. Two, the headache. And three, um.. uh .. oops."
