'Valentine's Day' Wins Holiday Weekend
The celeb-packed Valentine's Day brought in $52.4 million on its opening weekend, easily topping the fantasy adventure Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, starring Uma Thurman and Pierce Brosnan, with $31.1 million and Benicio Del Toro's The Wolfman with $30.6 million. Valentine's Day boasted one of the highest-wattage celebrity casts in Hollywood history including Julia Roberts, pictured, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner. Avatar continued its blockbuster ways raising its U.S. total to $659.6 million.
