‘At Last,’ the latest episode of HBO’s True Blood, ended with Sookie (Anna Paquin) on top in her fight against the legendary vampire/fairy Warlow.

The episode began with Ben (Rob Kazinsky) revealing his true identity as Warlow by giving an injured Jason (Ryan Kwanten) some of his vampire blood to heal him while Sookie was out of the room. Ben/Warlow continued to manipulate Sookie, and told her that Jason had woken up on his own. Later in the episode, however, Sookie discovers the truth for herself when she sees a few drops of blood by her couch, and it lights up when she puts her hand near it – just like the blood at the fairy club had last week after the fairy massacre.

The Governor continued his vampire hunt, arresting (human) Ginger and sending her to the camp for helping Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), essentially being a vampire ally. And Ginger isn’t the only one who gets taken over the course of the episode. Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) also gets arrested after fighting with Tara about her decision to hide Willa, the governor’s human-for-now daughter, from Eric.

Meanwhile, Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) hatch a plan to lure Andy Bellefleur’s (Chris Bauer) fairy daughters to Bill’s house so that he can take blood samples from them. Andy’s four magical daughters are now eighteen and looking to party. As a forever-eighteen-year-old, Jessica convinces Bill that she can bond with the girls, and bond she does. Using her vampire powers, Jessica glamours a liquor store cashier to get him to sell the girls beer, and the fairies go with her to party at Bill’s mansion.

After getting one of the Bellefleur fairies to give him a sample of their blood, Bill takes it to Hido Takahashi (Keone Young), the man who synthesized human blood to create Tru Blood, and tells him to essentially replicate fairy blood in the same way. But, of course, it can’t be that easy, and later Takahashi informs Bill that the blood sample disintegrated too quickly for him to study. Bill promises to bring another sample, but he may not have the chance.

When Bill returns home, he finds Jessica screaming, surrounded by four drained fairies. Unable to control herself when the four girls surrounded her, Jessica fed – killing the Bellefleur girls.

Willa, set free by Tara, chooses to wait for Eric to find her, and declares her allegiance to him. Seduced, perhaps, by vampire Eric, Willa says that she wants to drink his blood, and willfully allows Eric to turn her into a vampire. When she has officially transformed into a vampire, Eric orders her to go home to her father, hoping that she will be able to make the Governor see that vampires are more than bloodthirsty killers – a risky plan, especially considering Willa’s extreme reluctance to leave Eric’s side.

When Willa returned to her father, she pleaded with him to call off the LAVTF, trying to make him see that she was still the same old Willa. She was, that is, until she caught the scent of her father’s blood from his injured hand and lunged at him. Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp), the religious fanatic-turned-politician and apparent bedfellow of Governor Burrell (Arliss Howard), shot Willa before she could do much damage and told the Governor that he needed to have her sent away with all the other vampires.

While Eric put his plan to stop the Governor in motion, Sookie launched her attack on Ben/Warlow. Sookie bought sexy lingerie and invited Ben over for dinner, giving Jason and Niall explicit instructions to leave the house for a night. Unfortunately for Niall, Jason and Niall realize that Ben is Warlow, a vampire who can walk in the sun, and try to search Ben’s hotel room for evidence only to be defeated, badly, by Warlow. Jason is spared and glamoured so that he will not remember confronting Warlow, and leave peacefully. Niall, however, is not so lucky, and is disposed of in an alternate dimension after being drained of blood and forced to drink from Ben’s veins.

At Sookie’s, Ben/Warlow did his best to charm his fairy date, eating all of the silver-laced food Sookie had prepared – it was supposed to incapacitate him, but Ben/Warlow seems to be a more powerful vampire than we’ve ever seen. After the failed dinner of silver, Sookie led Ben/Warlow over to the couch to seduce him. Just when things were getting hot ‘n heavy, Sookie manifested her ball of light and poised it at Ben/Warlow’s head, telling him, “Get the f*** off me or die, Warlow.”

For his part, Sam (Sam Trammell) did little in last night’s episode, but did manage to get a little lovin’ from Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) after rescuing her from the wolf attack.

True Blood airs Sunday nights at 9 P.M. on HBO.
