The Voice narrowed down its field of contestants from eight to six on last night’s results show, eliminating two members of Adam Levine’s team – Judith Hill and Sarah Simmons.

Blake Shelton’s assistant coach for the week, Sheryl Crow, opened the night up with a performance of her new single “Easy.” With a theme of duets, the night also included Hill and Michelle Chamuel taking on “Sweet Nothing,” Sasha Allen and The Swon Brothers performing “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” Danielle Bradbery and Simmons singing “A Thousand Years,” and Amber Carrington and Holly Tucker performing “Does He Love You.”

The first Voice contestants to find out that the audience had saved them from elimination were Usher’s lone remaining contestant Chamuel and Team Blake’s Bradbery. Next to be saved was Shakira’s last remaining contestant, Allen, which meant that the two contestants going home would be pulled from Team Blake or Team Adam.

After Team Blake’s The Swon Brothers made it through to next week, Tucker, Carrington, Hill and Simmons remained on the chopping block. When Tucker and Carrington were told they’d been saved by voters, the two Team Adam standouts Hill and Simmons were told they’d be leaving the singing competition, much to the suprise of the judges and live audience.

The remaining field of six skews in Team Blake’s favor, with the country star coaching three of the singers. Levine, Usher and Shakira only have one remaining singer apiece.

The Voice returns Monday on NBC at 8/7c.
