The Office series finale is fast approaching and news has been steadily leaking about how things will wrap up for the colleagues at Dunder Mifflin.

As many sitcoms have done before, the series finale will include a reunion of sorts. The former coworkers will get together to catch up and share what’s been going on with their lives in the time that’s passed since they’ve last seen one another, reported The New York Times.

What’s bringing them all together? A wedding, according to NBC’s official episode description. “Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked,” read the description.

Although it’s been reported that the series finale will include some notable guest stars, Steve Carell will not be one of them. According to the show’s executive producer, Greg Daniels, Carell expressed his feeling that the “Goodbye, Michael” episode had been the character’s final farewell. “He didn’t want to overshadow the ending that all the other characters deserved,” he added.

Though Carell won’t be returning, other former stars of The Office will be appearing in the finale. Both Mindy Kaling and Ryan Howard will be returning, who played Kelly Kapoor and B.J. Novak respectively. New faces for The Office premiere will include, Joan Cusack (Shameless) and Malcolm Barrett (Better Off Ted).

The Office series finale will air on NBC on May 16 at 9/8c.
