Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper, who met and fell in love on Bachelor in Paradise, were married on The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love.

Tanner & Jade Wedding

Host Chris Harrison promised a wedding as part of the Bachelor/Bachelorette special. Tying the knot in front of the cameras were Tolbert and Roper. After Roper vied for Chris Soules’s heart on The Bachelor and Tolbert competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s love on The Bachelorette, they found each other on the spinoff series Bachelor in Paradise, which ended with their engagement.

Though The Bachelor at 20 aired on Sunday, Feb. 14 — Valentine’s Day – the ceremony was taped on Jan. 24. Tolbert and Roper were wed at The St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, Calif., exchanging vows in front of a number of Bachelor Nation stars.

“My heart loved you even when my head told me it was way too soon,” Tanner told Roper in his vows. “You went from a girl I thought was cute on TV to my best friend in the entire world and I wouldn’t spend my life with anyone other than you.”

Roper, in her vows, told Tolbert, “Tanner, you are the love of my life. We both know that I am not perfect, but I promise to always give you my best, and I promise to love you all my life.”

Current Bachelor Ben Higgins, Bristowe, and her fiancé Shawn Booth were present. The long-married Trista and Ryan Sutter turned out, as did Soules, Andi Dorfman, Nick Vial, Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici, Ali Fedotowsky, Andrew Firestone, Bob Guiney and more.

Carly Waddell, who grew close to Roper on Bachelor in Paradise, sang an original song at the nuptials that had many of the guests in tears.

At the reception, Tolbert and Roper danced their first dance to Seal‘s “Kiss from a Rose.”
