Tami Erin, star of The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking (1988), has announced plans to release her own sex tape after attempts at blocking the tape’s release were unsuccessful.

“My ex-boyfriend is trying to release it with or without me. I’m beating him to the punch,” Erin told TMZ.

In late August, news broke that someone, allegedly Erin’s unnamed ex-boyfriend, was shopping around a sex tape staring the former child actress. When the rumors of a sex tape emerged on Aug. 27, Erin was furious and declared her intentions to “never let this see the light of day” in an interview with TMZ.

Asked if she ever intended to sell a sex tape, Erin answered with an emphatic, “God no.”

In the interview, Erin was asked whether or not she might have a change of heart when companies offer her money for the sex tape, but she remained firm in her stance that she would never participate in selling the video.

“No, it’s never gonna see the light of day,” Erin said.

Despite those earlier statements, it appears Erin has changed her mind. Erin claims she fought her ex to try to stop the release of the tape, but failed causing her to decide to release it herself to a porn company – she is reportedly accepting offers now.
