Steve-O was arrested in Los Angeles Sunday, Aug. 9, after climbing a 100-foot construction crane in a protest against SeaWorld. The Jackass star climbed the crane above Sunset Boulevard holding an inflatable Shamu balloon with the words “SeaWorld Sucks,” setting off fireworks from the top of the crane. After climbing back down the crane, Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, was arrested on several charges, including conspiracy to commit trespassing and filming without a permit.

The 41-year-old’s stunt drew in more than 80 firefighters and dozens of Los Angeles police officers to West Selma Avenue about 8 p.m. following reports of a possible suicide attempt after a man was spotted on the crane, the Los Angeles Times reports

Glover is still in custody, but just before he was arrested on Sunday he asked his Facebook followers, “Anyone wanna bail me out of jail,” along with a video of the stunt performer on top of the crane.

Before the SeaWorld took place, Glover hinted at the stunt on Instagram with a post captioned, “This is Shammy. We’re gonna do a big dangerous stunt tomorrow in Los Angeles that will probably get me in a lot of trouble, and you can watch it happen at 7pm PST via a live stream on my Facebook page. #SeeYouAt7pmTomorrow #yeahdude.”

This is not the first time that Steve-O has publicly protested SeaWorld. Inspired by the 2013 documentary Blackfish, which details the mistreatment of killer whales and other issues within the theme park, Glover staged a similar protest in 2014 when changed a freeway sign outside San Diego from “SeaWorld Drive” to “SeaWorld Sucks.” The whole entire stunt was documented and posted on YouTube, and Glover was later charged with a traffic violation.
