Stephen Collins, who played Rev. Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, reportedly admitted to being a child molester during a therapy session with his wife, Faye Grant, who recorded the confession.

Did Stephen Collins Confess?

Collins and Grant, who are in the midst of a bitter divorce, attended therapy sessions in 2012 around the time Collins admitted to molesting underage girls. Grant recorded a session in which she asked him numerous questions about the incidents. Unaware he was being taped, Collins offered relatively detailed answers.

Grant pressed Collins in the recording, obtained by TMZ, to detail what happened with an 11-year-old New York girl, who was related to his ex-wife. “There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis,” Collins said after acknowledging that he’d exposed himself to her when she was 11, 12 and 13.

"When you exposed yourself … did you have an erection?" Grant asked, to which Collins replied, "No, I mean, no. Partial, maybe I think."

Collins also allegedly admitted to engaging in similar activities with the young niece of a former Los Angeles neighbor, whom he attempted to make amends with several years after the incidents occurred.

A third girl, from New York, was also a victim of Collins’ molestation, according to the recording.

The NYPD is in possession of the recording and have launched an investigation into the incident. The molestation was first reported in 2012, but two NYPD Special Victims Unit detectives interviewed Grant just last week for the investigation into "inappropriate sexual contact with minors."

In light of the story, the LAPD is “revisiting” the investigation into Collins’ confessed crimes against minors after closing the initial case in 2012, according to TMZ.

Collins’ taped confession has also led to his firing from the Ted sequel.
