Shelly Sterling made off with much more than money in the sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Microsoft CEO Steve Balmer.

Shelly Sterling Is 'Clipper's No. 1 Fan'

Shelly Sterling, for as long as she lives, has claim to titles “Owner Emeritus” as well as “Clipper’s Number 1 Fan” per the deal she inked with Microsoft’s Balmer, reported ESPN's Arash Markazi. The wife of the disgraced former owner Donald Sterling, who began heading negotiations of the family’s trust after signs of Alzheimer’s deemed him incompetent, gets a number of other perks as well.

Along with the No. 1 fan title, Sterling managed to secure herself enough seats and access to Clippers games to be sure she’ll live up to the moniker. Sterling will get two courtside seats and 10 tickets in Sections 101 or 111 for all Clippers games in Los Angeles. At all Staples Center games, Sterling gets 12 VIP passes.

If the Clippers are to win an NBA title during Sterling’s lifetime, her deal stipulates that she’ll receive three championship rings.

In the court filing, Sterling can either hold on to up to 10% of the Los Angeles Clippers or receive $200 million to start and run a charitable foundation.

While Shelly will be able to retain much of her stature with the Clippers, her husband Donald Sterling has been banned from the NBA for life as a result of his leaked conversation with ex-girlfriend V. Stiviano, in which he shared a number of racist sentiments.
