Osbourne spoke about the recent selfie controversy on her talk show, The Talk.

“It was something that Kim said about being comfortable in your own skin and I’ve never been comfortable in my own skin since the day I was born … I’m always saying about people that do this that I’m not into it, I don’t like people that make money on their body, but then I thought to myself, ‘Well, you’re a bit of a hypocrite because you’ve never done it and how can you talk about something you’ve never experienced?'” said Osbourne. “I talked myself into it and I did it. I must say, I did feel a bit liberated, empowered to the fact of this is probably the skinniest I’ll ever be in my life … so I might as well have a picture while I was at the right weight for my body.”

The reality star has gotten a lot of backlash after posting her selfie heard round the world and penned an essay that she posted on her website.

In the essay, she wrote:

“In all seriousness, I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives. I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime—and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body? It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?! I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago. Let’s move on, already. I have,” she wrote.
