Paulina Gretzky announced on Tuesday that she and professional golfer Dustin Johnson are expecting their first child together.

Gretzky took to Instagram to share the baby news, writing, “@djohnsonpga & i are so excited to finally share with you all our amazing news..we're having a baby!!”

Gretzky and Johnson have been engaged since August 2013, when the daughter of NHL Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky and the professional athlete had been dating for less than a year. Both Gretzky and Johnson excitedly announced the nuptial news on social media. "Never Been Happier @djohnsonpga," Gretzky captioned a picture of them kissing, her new engagement ring fully on display.

The happy couple was reportedly planning to tie the knot this fall, but they eventually decided to postpone the wedding due to Johnson's busy golf schedule. However, it was also reported that Wayne Gretzky told his would-be son-in-law that if he wanted to marry his daughter, he would have to clean up his act, according to FOX411.

Johnson allegedly tested positive for cocaine on the PGA Tour before competing in the Ryder Cup, around the same time that the golfer announced that he would be taking a break from the tour.

"I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced," Johnson had said in a statement. "By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion."

Since news broke of Johnson's alleged positive drug test, which would not be his first, Wayne Gretzky revealed that his family is fully behind Johnson. "In life, unfortunately, sometimes we forget that even athletes are human and there's bumps in the road," Gretzky said. "Most importantly he's a wonderful person with a good heart and we care about him. He's our future son-in-law and we love him dearly."

Johnson will soon not only be a future son-in-law of "The Great One," but also the father of his grandchild.
