The late Paul Walker was the victim of a death hoax on Twitter this week, which claimed that the actor had faked his own death last month.

Paul Walker Death Hoax

Website ignited the hoax after publishing an article that provided evidence for how Walker could have pulled off the faux crash. The story alleged that the fiery crash that took both Walker and his business partner Roger Rodas' life was nothing but an elaborate stunt. There were even photos that the site claimed were of Walker's crew.

Some who came upon the obvious hoax believed it and took to Twitter to share their disbelief and verify the report.

Walker's Death Confirmed

Walker's death was confirmed in an autopsy report completed last month. According to the report, Walker, the passenger in the Porsche Carrera GT, died of "combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries." A toxicology report is pending, but speed is believed to have been a factor in the fatal accident.

Upon Walker's death, fans created a memorial at the spot of the crash in Valencia. Fast & Furious 7, which he was filming at the time, was put on hold, but will now move forward with production after it was determined that his scenes would remain in the film.

Walker, who was 43 when he died, is survived by his daughter Meadow Walker.
