Nicolle Wallace has reportedly been fired from her co-host position on NBC’s daytime talk show The View.

Nicolle Wallace Fired?

Wallace, who joined The View earlier this season, is already getting axed by ABC, Variety reports. While the network wants Wallace out of her co-hosting gig, they are interested in having her be one of the show’s guest hosts. As of yet, it’s unknown if Wallace has any interest in staying on in that capacity.

ABC brass had wanted Wallace, The View panel’s resident Republican, to offer more charged opinions on the show, according to Variety. The former communications chief for George W. Bush also apparently disappointed when it came to her knowledge of celebrities.

Wallace confronted the reports on her firing on The View by proving that her entertainment knowledge isn’t all that deficient. In order to do so, she listed off all of the fun facts she knows about the Kardashian family, which arguably is at the center of celebrity culture.

“Even I have a line that cannot be crossed. Don’t ever diss my Kardashian knowledge,” said Wallace.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Rosie Perez would be leaving The View after her first season, following in the footsteps of returning co-host Rosie O’Donnell, who left to focus on her family.

For The View‘s 19th season, the only confirmed co-hosts are Whoopi Goldberg, Raven Symone and Michelle Collins. It’s believed that Paula Faris and Candace Cameron-Bure are frontrunners to join them.
