New Couple Nikki Reed & Ian Somerhalder Go For A Jog In LA

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder, who’ve reportedly begun dating one another, were spotted going for a jog in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Reed, 26, and Somerhalder, 35, appeared to spend all of last weekend together, sparking rumors that the longtime friends had developed a romantic relationship. According to an insider, the two are definitely an item .“Nikki Reed and Ian Somerholder are dating,” a source told Us Weekly.

Giving more credence to the claim is that the Twilight actress and Vampire Diaries star were spotted having dinner last week in the San Fernando Valley. They were also seen eating out together at Studio City’s Kiwami.

For their afternoon jog, Reed and Somerhalder appeared to coordinate in gray workout attire. Reed wore a tight halter with matching gray shorts and black sneakers. Somerhalder, who covered his dark hair with a baseball cap, teamed a gray v-neck shirt with Nike running pants.

Somerhalder famously split from his longtime girlfriend and Vampire Diaries costar Nina Dobrev – whom Reed has been friends with over the years – in May 2013. Reed, meanwhile, divorced her musician husband Paul MacDonald in May of this year after two and a half years of marriage. The two, who reportedly ended things on amicable terms, had been separated for six months prior to the divorce. Reed and Somerhalder are keeping their exes' “feelings close as they work on their decisions to start an exclusive relationship together,” a source told HollywoodLife.com.

While Somerhalder hasn’t been linked to anyone since the break up with Dobrev, Reed had a short fling with Dancing With the Stars’ Derek Hough after she and MacDonald officially called it quits. Incidentally, Dobrev has also previously been linked to Hough.
