Bart will revisit the loves from his past — Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sarah Silverman — on 'The Simpsons'

Which lucky lad's romantic history includes Hollywood beauties Zooey Deschanel, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sarah Silverman? If you said that only a fictional character could count himself so blessed, you're right — all five actresses will reprise their roles as Bart Simpson's ex-girlfriends on an upcoming episode of season 24 of The Simpsons, entitled "Moonshine River."

Gina (Gellar), Darcy (Portman), Jenny (Hathaway), and Nikki (Silverman), will all be visited by Bart in the episode, but Bart will ultimately decide that Mary (Deschanel), whom he almost married in season 19, is really the one who got away, as he follows her to New York City, reports Entertainment Weekly.

The purpose of the episode "was a way to acknowledge that for a 10-year-old boy, Bart has gotten a lot action," said Simpsons consulting producer and "Moonshine River" writer Tim Long. "We thought it might be fun to borrow / pay homage to / steal an idea from [the John Cusack movie] High Fidelity and have [Bart] go on a romantic pilgrimage and visit the girls that he dated and try to figure out how the hell he screwed things up with each of them."

The episode will air after The Simpsons returns to FOX in the fall. Other celebs to lend their voices to the new season 24 will include Steve Carell, Jennifer Tilly, and Fred Armisen.
