The teen who stole Guy Fieri’s yellow Lamborghini, was sentenced to life in prison for the theft – in addition to a number of other crimes.

Max Wade Stole Guy Fieri's Lamborghini

In 2011, Max Wade broke into the dealership where Fieri’s Lamborghini was getting serviced by rappelling into the auto body. However, Wade committed a crime bigger than stealing the $200,000 car. In an attempt to scare off a fellow teen who was dating a girl he liked, he committed a drive by shooting, reported Boston.com. Thankfully, neither of the intended victims lost their lives.

Although Wade was only 17 at the time of his activities, he was charged and sentenced as an adult. Marin County detective Greg Garrett admitted that it seemed harsh to give Wade life for crimes committed at such a young age, but insisted that his careful planning was more advanced than most adult career criminals.

"It is kind of sad for someone who was 17 years old when he did this to be looking at this incredible prison sentence,” Garrett told ABC News. “But he definitely planned it out very carefully and as the DA pointed out much more carefully than many of the adult offenders we see, the career adult offenders we see.”

In total, Wade was sentenced to 21 years and four months, in addition to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
