Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, despite speculation that they would join the cast of Netflix’s Full House reboot, will not appear on Fuller House.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Turn Down ‘Fuller House’

The Olsens, 28, have decided that instead of returning to acting, they will continue to focus on their fashion brands and other business ventures.

“Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” said Fuller House executive producer Robert Boyett in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors,” Boyett added. “I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House.”

John Stamos announced the Full House reboot last month, revealing that Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber would be joining him on the show. Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin are all in talks to be guest stars.

Fuller House will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2016.
