Lindsay Lohan Begins House Arrest

Lindsay Lohan began her 35-day house arrest for stealing a necklace from a Venice, Calif., jewelry store. The 24-year-old Mean Girls actress pleaded no contest for the crime and she was also ordered to serve over 300 hours of community service.

Lohan is expected to serve her time at her 3,100-square-foot beach-side condo in Venice, where her on-again, off-again girlfriend Samantha Ronson lives right next door. The condo features four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a rooftop deck that provides views to the city.

Aside from Mean Girls, Lohan is best known for her double role in The Parent Trap as well as for the successful films Freaky Friday and Prairie Home Companion. Lohan is trying to get her movie career back on track and has signed to star alongside John Travolta in the mobster flick Gotti: Three Generations.
