Lance Bass and his longtime boyfriend, painter and actor Michael Turchin, married on Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Park Plaza hotel in Los Angeles.

Lance Bass, Michael Turchin Marry

Bass and Turchin were married before dozens of friends and close family members, which included Bass’ ‘NSYNC bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez. Emmanuelle Chriqui, Cheryl Burke, Carmen Electra and Kris Jenner were also among the high-profile guests. Jamie-Lynn Sigler and JoAnna Garcia Swisher officiated the ceremony.

Prior to the wedding, Bass said that it was important to them that the wedding look and feel timeless – from their tuxedos and the decorations to their wedding song.

“The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years,” Bass told E!. “When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like, ‘Wow, that stood the test of time.’ So we’re using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy, and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us.”

Bass and Turchin were both very involved in the planning process and actually designed their own tuxedos. They kept it simple in black tuxes for the ceremony, but changed into more colorful ones for the reception.  “They are a little more fun and colorful,” Turchin said of the reception tuxedos to People. “I have this velvet in really deep, beautiful blue and Lance has this beautiful hunter green velvet jacket.”

As for the wedding tuxes, “They are traditional black tuxedos but each of us put a little twist on them by incorporating a little dark navy,” added Turchin,

Bass, who came out in 2006, has been dating Turchin since 2011. He proposed in August 2013.

Bass and Turchin’s nuptials will air on E! in the 90-minute special Lance Loves Michael: The Lance Bass Wedding Thursday, Feb. 5.
