Kit Harrington may have let slip that his Game of Thrones character Jon Snow isn’t as dead as he appeared in last season’s finale.

Kit Harrington On ‘Game Of Thrones’

Harrington rose to sudden fame on Game of Thrones along with many of the young members of its original cast. The English actor recently admitted that the success of the show has come with both its positives and negatives in an interview while promoting his new film, Testament of Youth. He also went on to talk about his contract – which is where things got the most revealing.

“I had to pass on amazing parts because I was attached to Game of Thrones. So the show is like a double-edged sword to me: I owe a lot to it, but at the same time it almost completely consumes me,” Harrington told Belgian magazine Humo. “Oh well, I try not to think about it too much. The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract, and in the meantime — ”

When pressed further about his contract for Game of Thrones, Harrington seemed to realize he had waded into spoiler territory, but did nothing to dispel the idea that he’s not quite done with HBO’s hit series.

“I can’t talk about that. Let’s just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while; I’ll probably be in my 30s when it’s over,” Harrington, 28, said, adding, “One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects [laughs].”

Harrington was seen at Wimbledon over the summer with his mane of dark brown curls fully intact, sparking rumors that his days of playing Jon Snow were not yet behind him.

Despite Harrington’s ongoing insistence that his character is truly dead, few have been convinced that he is. Multiple fan theories explain ways in which Jon Snow can return, suggesting that Ned Stark’s supposed bastard still has more of his storied life left to live.
