Kesha has announced that she is postponing her March and April tour dates in favor of continuing her treatment for an eating disorder.

Kesha Cancels More Tour Dates

“I was so looking forward to performing at these dates but I need to follow my doctor's advice and get my health back on track,” Kesha said in a statement. “All of your support during this time has been so amazing. I couldn’t have done this without you all. I look forward to coming back stronger than ever on the next tour."

It was revealed back in January that the pop star was struggling with an eating disorder. In order to treat the disorder, Kesha checked into the Timberline Knolls treatment center outside of Chicago. Demi Lovato sought threatment at the same facility in 2010.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself but I've found it hard to practice," Kesha had written to her fans on Facebook to announce her treatment plans. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder … to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am."

Pete Sebert and Patricia Sebert, Kesha’s father and mother, have publicly blamed their daughter’s team – most notably producer Dr. Luke – for putting the pressure on her to be thin, which led to her eating disorder.

"Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough," Sebert told People in January. "And that's when she first became bulimic."

"Dr. Luke told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator on her latest video, and could she please try to control her weight," Kesha's mother added. "After she went on a 14-day juice cleanse, he said, 'Thank God you finally got rid of the weight! We've all been talking about it!' So she felt like she couldn't trust anyone."
