Kate Moss Weds The Kill's Jamie Hince In England

The town of Southrop in England was abuzz Friday as Kate Moss prepared to wed her finace, Jamie Hince, guitar player for rock group The Kills. The wedding was originally scheduled for Saturday, July 2, but was moved up one day to accommodate another high profile wedding between Olympic swimmer Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert of Monaco, which was scheduled for the same day, reports New York magazine. Apprently the two weddings have many overlapping guests.

There has been much speculation about Moss’s wedding gown, and Vogue UK confirmed yesterday that the supermodel indeed sported a design by her longtime friend, John Galliano.

The ceremony took place Friday afternoon, with other festivities continuing through the weekend. Southrop police have the town on a virtual lockdown as celebrity A-listers and musicians arrive, which also reports that Iggy Pop and Snoop Dogg maybe among the entertainers at the reception. Unlike the other recent high profile British wedding, Moss and Hince plan to keep the ceremony rather private, leaving paparazzi scrambling to get photos. The official, exclusive photo of Moss in her wedding gown will appear in Vogue in September.
