Kanye West’s ‘Famous’ Video

West premiered the “Famous” video at the L.A. Forum Friday in front of a star-studded audience that included many members of his extended family. The event was simultaneously live-streamed on Tidal and the video almost instantly went viral. Why? It featured nude wax depictions of George W. Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian West, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby in bed together.

The image was inspired by Vincent Desiderio‘s “Sleep.”

Explaining the music video and why he chose to represent those specific people, West told Vanity Fair, “It’s not in support or anti any of [the people in the video]. It’s a comment on fame.” He added, “We were very careful with shots that had [something] sexual to take them out.”

Though West joked on Twitter about getting sued in a since-deleted tweet, he claims that people who’ve seen the video have wished that they were included. “Guess what the response is when I show it to them?” he said. “They want to be in the bed.”
