Kanye West Says Bill Cosby Is “Innocent”

Kanye West returned to Twitter Tuesday to declare that embattled comedian Bill Cosby is an innocent man.

Nearly 60 women have come forward in the last year or so to accuse the former The Cosby Show star of sexual assault. The alleged episodes, many of which were said to have occurred after drugging, supposedly began in the 60s. Cosby is facing multiple civil cases for the alleged attacks. Cosby is also facing a criminal charge of aggravated indecent assault for allegedly assaulting Andrea Constand. Though Cosby attempted to have the charge dismissed, the judge rejected the motion had scheduled a hearing March 8. Upon seeing West’s tweet about Cosby, a number of celebrities, including Sarah Silverman and Patton Oswalt, showed their disappointment.
