Bieber, often the subject of mockery, was ridiculed online Sunday for his highlighted haircut. One of the most popular jokes made at the singer’s expense compared his new ‘do to that of former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin. Bieber, deciding to laugh at himself, reposted one of the Bieber/Gosselin memes on Instagram.

Fashion Police, back with a special episode following a hiatus, highlighted Bieber’s hair during its new “What Would Joan Say?” segment. Giuliana Rancic quipped, “Kate Gosselin called…she wants her hair back.”

What did the others suggest Joan Rivers would have said? Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes joked, “Yes, yes! Justin is back! But it looks like he forgot his hairbrush…”

Brad Goreski weighed in, “I think Joan would say, ‘Insert lesbian joke here.’”

And Melissa Rivers took it a step further in that direction in channeling her mother, saying, “God, she looks pretty! I don’t know who Ellen’s plastic surgeon is, but the old clam-slammer looks amazing!”

When it came time for Bieber to perform a medley of “Where Are Ü Now” and “What Do You Mean?” at the VMAs, he opted to hide his unpopular new coif under a black baseball cap.
