Justin Bieber Surprises Friend With Mustang For Christmas

Some celebs don't forget their roots. Justin Bieber, 17, surprised his childhood friend, Ryan Butler, also 17, with an extravagant gift on Christmas — a brand new Ford Mustang convertible.

Though Bieber never addressed the issue of the luxury gift, his friend couldn't help but gush on his own Twitter account. "Justin got me a present. #swag!!!" Butler tweeted Christmas night, with a photo of the car.

Bieber and Butler grew up together in Stratford, Ohio. The best friend even made an appearance in one of the pop star's music videos, "One Time," reports MSNBC.

Though the teenage heartthrob spent the holidays without girlfriend Selena Gomez, he was far from alone. Bieber was relieved to be surrounded by family in Canada. "Spending time with family — feels really good," he tweeted on Saturday with a pic of his younger siblings, Jazmyn, 3, and Jaxon, 2.
